ITV Studios Global Entertainment has introduced Canadian sitcom “Schitt’s Creek” to the crowds at Licensing Expo 2019.
Created and produced by father-son team Eugene and Daniel Levy, “Schitt’s Creek” has garnered global interest from licensees and is due to bring new licensed products to the U.S. market this summer.
The first products to launch are with licensees Rizzoli, who will offer calendars for 2020; Hi-Line for the live tour merchandise and a direct-to-consumer strand to the program, as well as UGC fan art available through Redbubble and other online retailers.
Additional categories such as softlines, gifting, home, bath and collectibles are currently under discussion, bringing more products that reflect the show’s quirky signature humor and witty writing.
The five season-strong series follows a wealthy family who lose their fortune and are forced to relocate to a rundown motel in the small town of Schitt’s Creek. With a growing cult following across the world, “Schitt’s Creek” airs on CBC in Canada and Pop in the U.S. as well as on Netflix in the US, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and Japan.
