Zinkia Entertainment announced it has taken a 51 percent stake in Cake. The acquisition is a joint venture designed to bolster content brand management and distribution opportunities. Both companies will maintain their own management teams and identities.
The deal was brokered by José María Castillejo, president of Zinkia. The partnership will maximize Zinkia’s brand management and digital strategies to enhance brand visibility, as well as Cake’s ability to identify and nurture quality programming.
“This strategic alliance with Cake is an important development in our plans to build, develop and manage a top-tier slate of kids and family entertainment properties for the global market,” says Castillejo. “We look forward to working with Cake, their talented management team and quality catalog of programs.”
