Warner Bros. Consumer Products EMEA has unveiled the official mascots for the UEFA Euro 2012 football tournament, which it has designed as the official licensing representative.

The twin mascots are dressed in red/white and yellow/blue football strips—the national colors of the two host countries Poland and Ukraine. They will embark on a tour of the two host countries in order to meet the public and interact with fans through various programs and activities planned in each of the eight host cities.

"This is the third UEFA Euro Championships for which we've created the official mascots and far from being formulaic, each time is a new adventure," says Jay Young, senior vice president of creative development for Warner Bros. Consumer Products EMEA. "We've spent five months, more than 2,000 man-hours working through 500 drawings and 100 different character permutations to get where we are today. In the end, we created two mascots, each representing one of the host nations. Inspiration has been taken from the UEFA Euro 2012 branding and we've tried to reflect the community and culture of the host countries by utilizing the national colors and key elements of each countries national dress to celebrate their spirit and individuality."
