Broadcasting since 1997, Cartoon Network has created a substantial customer base that embraces consumer products based on retro kids’ cartoons. Bold images, color and character-led designs will form the core of the Cartoon Network Originals collection.
Properties such as Cow and Chicken, Samurai Jack, Dexter’s Laboratory and Johnny Bravo will be packaged to present at Brand Licensing Europe, spanning key categories to reach the target audience of 12-24-year-olds.
Turner has signed a number of deals including Fusion Clothing for promotions in Germany; Frumo BV for a range of stationery products in Benelux; and LPP for adult apparel across Central and Eastern Europe. Turner will also be working with Poetic Gem on a new Cartoon Network Originals apparel line that will be available at U.K. retail next summer.
The U.K. launch of the Cartoon Network Originals brands follows closely behind its Italian counterpart where products designed by Rent me, a PR and events organization specializing in design, were débuted at this year's International Furniture Show in Milan.
