Toys 'R' Us Stocks Character Costumes

Toys 'R' Us is gearing up for Halloween, which includes a raft of licensed character costumes, in-store sales, online promotions and an in-store events.Licensed character costumes hitting the shelves this year include Disney Baby costumes such as monkey,

Licensed character costumes hitting the shelves this year include Disney Baby costumes such as monkey, dinosaur, monster and skunk; toddler costumes that include Disney*Pixar Cars 2 characters Lightning McQueen, Mater and Finn McMissle; Captain America, Transformers, Green Lantern, "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" and Super Mario Brothers costumes for boys; and Rapunzel and Monster High costumes for girls.

In addition, Toys 'R' Us will feature “spook”tiques in stores nationwide throughout September and October. The displays will feature costumes, safety gear, candy and accessories.

This year, Toys 'R' Us will feature an extensive online costume catalog, as well as three new fashion show videos for parents and kids to draw costume inspiration.

Finally, Toys 'R' Us stores across the country will host in-store events on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 12–3 p.m. The events will feature giveaways, and, in select locations, parades and face painting.

"From cute and cuddly animals for infants to blockbuster heroes for boys and princesses for girls, Toys 'R' Us is the one stop shop for costumes and accessories that kids can’t wait to wear,” says Lisa Harnisch, vice president, general merchandise manager, core toys and seasonal, Toys 'R' Us, U.S. “Trick-or-treaters seeking inspiration will also be able to view online videos of this year’s most popular costumes, showcased by boys, girls and toddlers as they walk the runway in all new Halloween fashions.”
