Anita Stewart has been promoted to senior vice president of corporate sponsorships at Sesame Workshop.
In the new role, Stewart will focus on developing innovative new multimedia, multinational corporate partnerships, including mobile and digital platforms to deliver Sesame's educational messaging. She began working at Sesame in 2003 and has been responsible for developing and securing strategic corporate alliances and sponsorship programs for "Sesame Street" and "The Electric Company" in the U.S., as well as for co-productions in Brazil, China, South Africa, Mexico, Nigeria and India.
"Anita has been extremely successful in securing corporate funding in today's challenging economic climate to help support Sesame's mission of delivering educational resources to all children," says Myung Kang-Huneke, chief of staff at Sesame Workshop. "Her extensive experience and passion for identifying corporations with similar missions and visions has made for a successful model of how corporate responsibility, in the United States and around the world, adds to the successes of nonprofit organizations such as Sesame Workshop."
