Over the past few months, Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products partnered with groups across Asia Pacific for a slew of product lines, pop-up shops and events, boosting its presence in the region.
A series of product lines for Nickelodeon brands began launching late last year. Shoe Mart department stores in the Philippines debuted a line of retro Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles apparel for boys and teens; fashion brand MeeH released a SpongeBob SquarePants collection in Hong Kong and Macau that includes t-shirts, trousers, jackets, bags, cushions, accessories, gifts and novelties; and NVCP collaborated with fashion brand Bait and lifestyle brand Mindstyle on a pop-up featuring co-branded SpongeBob SquarePants products including shoes, caps and eyewear in Beijing.
Moving into 2013, NVCP is planning a raft of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles product to hit shelves in Singapore this May across multiple categories including apparel, stationery, bags, homewares, cakes, toys, accessories and footwear. Similar lines will launch in the Philippines in June.
The wide range of product partnerships were accompanied by a series of live events in the region including The SpongeBob SquarePants Bobster Bash at Jakarta’s Senayan City, as well as the “Bikini Bottom Live Show” and “A Christmas Wish Live Show” in Singapore.
