AT New Media has announced a service combining games development project management and auditing, aimed at the licensing and games sectors, called AT Project.
Prompted by the trend for rights owners and game developers to work together more regularly on more and more complex platforms, AT saw a need for skilled project and financial management to increase mutual success.
AT New Media has appointed experienced game development executive John Walsh to run AT Project and to manage relationships with licensors, developers and publishers. Walsh's remit will be to help licensors to audit the activities of game developers and to help game developers manage the needs of licensors. AT Project's work will include analysis at the pre-development stage, such as game design, project planning, budget scrutiny, resource gathering and SWOT analysis. During development, management will include design and budget controls, scheduling, approvals, milestone targets and marketing planning.
"I often see licensors losing out, because they do not understand the financial details behind game development schedules and costs and I often see developers losing out, because they do not understand the needs of rights owners and how to seize viable licensing opportunities," says Walsh, AT's project manager. "AT Project will bridge that gap and provide transparency and efficiency for licensees and licensors."
AT New Media will be promoting the new AT Project service, which is fully complementary to its existing services, at Brand Licensing Europe in the Advice Center.
