M4e is showcasing its live action/CGI hybrid “Mia and Me” at Brand Licensing Europe this week. The master agent is m4e, and the property recently won The Licensing Challenge at MIPJunior.
The series’ style is inspired by the paintings of Gustav Klimt and with a production budget of €8.5 million. Producer Lucky Punch has been able to produce what it hopes is feature film-quality animation. The series is targeted at girls 6-10.
“Mia and Me” will premiere next spring on KI.KA Germany. Canal+ in France, RAI in Italy and TVI in Portugal are also confirmed broadcasters. German licensing partners already on board include Egmont for publishing; Panini for stickers, a magazine and DVD; Schmidt Spiele for games; and Belltex for home textiles.
