The Seoul Character & Licensing Fair 2012, held in Seoul, Korea, just wrapped July 18-22, and according to the show's organizers, KOCCA, it was quite a success.

More than 150,000 visitors and 3,500 buyers from 20 countries flocked to one of Asia's largest licensing exhibitions. With more than 150 companies on the show floor representing the best in licensed character, animation, broadcasting, entertainment, fashion, publishing and gaming properties, it is no wonder that the attendees reported taking more than 2,100 meetings.

The Business 1:1 Zone was a highlight of the expo and facilitated meetings between optimal partners. It matched domestic and international buyers to a Korean exhibitor, fostering new and beneficial relationships. It also provided business information sessions on topics that span the industry.

While buyers came from around the globe, the Seoul Character & Licensing Fair 2012 placed particular emphasis on driving business within Asia, with representation from countries including China, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore and Indonesia, with the Netherlands, France, England, Mexico, the U.S. and Australia also represented. Buyers came from top companies including Nippon Animation (Japan), Toonmax Media (China), Egmont Kids Media Hong Kong (Hong Kong), Zodiak Kids (the U.K.), IPL (France), AMD (the U.S.) and Kids Plant Distribution (the Netherlands).

Within the show floor, a character parade, character show, Olympic dance, augmented reality experience and other special events took place across various booth spaces.
