A Squared Entertainment, Archie Comics and Stan Lee joined forces with Arnold Schwarzenegger to produce the next superhero from Stan Lee Comics: "The Governator." The new global multi-platform property includes a television series, 3D movie, comic book series and consumer products program. A Squared will produce the TV series and 3D movie and manage the global licensing, merchandising and distribution. Archie Comics will publish "The Governator" comic series in print and digital forms. Stan Lee, his producing partner Gill Champion and POW! will oversee all creative direction and story development.

Aardman Rights secured international TV distribution rights for the preschool series, "Tilly and Friends," based on books by Polly Dunbar and published by Walker Books. The series was commissioned by CBeebies and is being produced by JAM Media.

ToonBox Entertainment and CJ Entertainment inked international deals for Redrover and ToonBox's animated comedy series "Bolts and Blip." New partners include Nelvana (home entertainment) and Nickelodeon (broadcast). The show will be one of the first animated series available in 3D Stereoscopic this summer.

Cookie Jar Entertainment debuted its first live action/CGI animated series, "Mudpit," and a new live action comedy, "Debra!" Both series are targeted at tweens.

Disney Junior acquired SLR Productions' preschool animated series "Guess How Much I Love You–The Adventures of Little Nutbrown Hare" for broadcast in the U.S.

DQE signed a co-production agreement with France-based Method Animation for a new 3D animated series "Robin Hood-Mischief in Sherwood," targeted to children 6-9 years.

DHX Media acquired worldwide TV, licensing and merchandising rights, excluding Australia, to new animated comedy "SheZow!" The animated comedy has also pre-sold to ABC Australia.

Endemol U.K. and Channel 5 announced a two-year exclusive agreement that will bring "Big Brother" back to British TV screens later this year. Broadcast will begin with an all-star celebrity version this summer, followed by a new series.

FremantleMedia Enterprises signed a distribution deal with Disney Channel for Fresh TV's adventure-comedy "My Babysitter's a Vampire." FME also has global rights, excluding Canada, for home entertainment and brand licensing and is looking for partners across platforms. The series will air on Disney Channels or Disney XD channels in the U.S., Latin America, the U.K., Australia and New Zealand, Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Netherlands and Nordic territories. FME also acquired the international distribution, simulcast streaming and VOD rights worldwide, excluding Australia, for Donna Hay's "Fast, Fresh, Simple" cooking series from XYZnetworks.

HIT Entertainment's "Fireman Sam" series has been pre-sold to Turner Broadcasting and S4C. Turner Broadcasting picked up the series for its preschool channel Cartoonito. Both broadcasters have acquired the eighth series of "Fireman Sam," due to be delivered next spring. It is produced by China-based Xing Xing. HIT Entertainment also pre-sold its new preschool animation, "Mike the Knight," to four more territories: ABC Australia, SVT Sweden, DRTV Denmark and NRK in Norway. Existing partners include Treehouse in Canada, TF1 in France and CBeebies in the U.K.

MarVista Entertainment and Nickelodeon finalized a multi-territory agreement for the "Power Rangers Samurai" to be seen on Nickelodeon in key European territories including Germany, Benelux, the U.K., Ireland, Latin America, Australia and New Zealand. Nickelodeon has acquired all television rights to the 40 new episodes for Germany, Holland, Flemish-speaking Belgium and pay television rights for all other territories to begin airing in May.

MTV Networks International signed agreements for five international broadcasters to air Nickelodeon's live action show "Victorious." The show will air on Italian public broadcaster RAI, New Zealand's FOUR and in Latin America through deals with Chile's Megavision and ATB in Bolivia. MTV Networks International also acquired television and digital media rights to the animated kids property Kikoriki from Russia-based Riki Group. MTVNI will represent the series "Kikoriki," also known as "Smeshariki" in Russia, Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Asia Pacific region. The series has a strong licensing program in Russia, with more than 3,500 products, DVDs, CDs and an upcoming 3D film and theme park.

Planeta Junior announced that more than 88 companies have joined the "Maya the Bee 3D" program in the south of Europe a year before the series premieres on television. "Maya the Bee 3D" is produced by Studio 100 and Planeta Junior and will broadcast next year.

Rainbow announced a major deal with Russian broadcaster CTC for its properties "Winx Club" and "PopPixie." The deal includes four Winx Club TV movies as well as the fifth series, both co-productions with Nickelodeon. CTC already holds the rights to the first four Winx Club series. The TV movies will air this fall, and the fifth series will air next fall. The Winx Club 3D Magical Adventure will air in January next year. CTC also purchased "PopPixie," Rainbow's latest animated comedy series.

Shine International announced an international TV distribution agreement with P&G to sell Procter & Gamble Productions' family-friendly programming to international broadcasters. The deal includes distribution rights for TV movies Secrets of the Mountain, The Jensen Project, A Walk in My Shoes and Change of Plans, each produced by NBC and aired on Fox. All of the films are part of the Family Movie Night series sponsored by Walmart and P&G.

Skechers Entertainment launched its animated musical direct-to-DVD movie property "Twinkle Toes," which will hit retail stores in September. "'Twinkle Toes' has a spirit and positive energy that is universal and will appeal to a global audience," says Kristen Van Cott, senior vice president of creative development for Skechers Entertainment.

Zodiak Kids announced pre-sales for its Redakai property's TV series "Redakai: Conquer the Kairu," co-produced by Marathon Media and Spin Master. Networks that have signed on to broadcast the series this year include Cartoon Network U.S. and Canada's YTV, while France's Canal J French channel Gulli plans to broadcast the series next year. Zodiak Kids will handle international TV and video sales as well as worldwide licensing and merchandising rights excluding North America, where Cartoon Network Enterprises is the exclusive agent. Spin Master plans to release a complete range of games, trading cards and toys linked to the series.
