The Funny Face band of fruit characters has signed two new agents for global licensing representation–BroadStreet Licensing Group for international food-related programs and Infinity Licensing for all non-food categories.

“We’re very excited to add Funny Face to our client roster,” says William Cross, vice president, restaurant and food brand licensing, BroadStreet. “These characters are a perfect visual complement to any number of products, and with such a demand for healthier food and drink choices, the timing is perfect.”

Originally a powdered-drink brand from Pillsbury in the ’60s and ’70s (designed as a competitor to Kool-Aid), the Funny Face brand was revived in 2008 with an animated series from Renegade Animation. That same year, the brand won the MIPJunior licensing challenge.

"Funny Face represents more than just a classic nostalgic brand,” says David Imhoff, president, Infinity Licensing. “The wonderfully inspired character designs of Goofy Grape, Choo Choo Cherry, Jolly Olly Orange, etc., are timeless and perfect for use in a broad array of consumer goods, especially scented and flavored products."

The “Funny Face” series, targeted to boys ages 6 to 10, is now shown in several countries featuring characters like Loud Mouth Lime and Bad Apple.
