In anticipation of the U.S. release of Tron: Legacy on Dec. 17, Disney is collaborating with a number of high-end designers for a luxury accessory and shoe collection.
The line includes:
Limited-edition 5-inch heeled platform sandal ($795) inspired by Tron's Quorra from Jerome Rousseau. It will be available for holiday exclusively at the Tron pop-up shop and will expand to selected retailers worldwide in February 2011.
Two handbags, small leather goods (cosmetic bag and clutch) and three cuff bracelets ($90 to $400) from Hayden-Harnett. The range will be available at the designer's Brooklyn and Nolita stores, the Tron pop-up shop, on Haydenharnett.com and select retailers next month.
Jewelry assortment for men and women ($345 to $2,600) from Rotenier. The women's line features sterling silver earrings, necklaces and two cuff bracelets, while the men's range includes two pairs of cufflinks in sterling silver. The line will launch at the end of this month at select high-end department and specialty stores.
Limited-edition women's collection of necklaces, earrings, rings and bracelets ($135 to $395) from TomTom. The pieces will be available next month exclusively at the Tron pop-up store.
"In developing these Tron-inspired collections, we saw a natural fit for today's modern woman who blends fashion and technology in her daily routine," says Pam Lifford, executive vice president of fashion and home for Disney Consumer Products. "The films' lead female character was also a great inspiration due to her strong and fearless attitude. Combined with the design talents behind these fashion labels and their affinity for Tron, we have the perfect mix to deliver a line that will resonate with women all around."
Other Tron: Legacy partners include Adidas, Hurley and Oakley for a men's performance apparel line; Han Cholo for unisex jewelry; UD Replicas for movie replica motorcycle suits; and New Era for caps.
