DeNA has announced two upcoming digital card-battle games featuring Hasbro’s Transformers and Marvel Super Heroes.

“Transformers Battle” will be the first game to come from a three-year agreement between DeNA and Hasbro to develop mobile games based on the Transformers franchise.

In “Transformers Battle,” players will collect and create a team of Transformers cards and battle their friends. Players have the choice to play as Autobots or Decepticons and can save up in-game currency to fuse cards and make them stronger. New digital cards will be unveiled daily.

In partnership with Marvel Entertainment, DeNA has also announced a similar card-battle game that will feature Marvel Super Heroes.

“Marvel: War of Heroes,” available this fall, will feature original art by Marvel artists and a brand-new narrative. Players will recruit characters from Spider-Man to Hulk to Iron Man to help them fight evil.

“Marvel is always looking for new and innovative ways for our fans and gamers to enjoy our characters and stories,” says Rob Steffens, executive vice president, operations and planning, Marvel Entertainment. “By teaming up with DeNA, a proven leader in the mobile game space, we’re able to deliver a premium and action-packed mobile gaming experience.”

Both games will be available exclusively for mobile devices through DeNA’s Mobage social games platform.
