DC Comics has unveiled an historic re-numbering of the entire DC Universe line of comic books with 52 first issues, including the release of "Justice League" by DC Entertainment chief creative officer Geoff Johns and co-publisher Jim Lee.
Issue one hit stores Wednesday, and the first printing sold out the same day. A second printing is in process.
The publication included a same-day-and-date digital edition, which will continue for all the titles in the series. This makes DC Comics the first of the two major American publishers to release all of its superhero comic book titles digitally the same day as in print.
The reboot of the “Justice League” comic series supports the upcoming Warner Brothers Animation project, Justice League: Doom, which will be released in 2012. The film will be the last work of the late Dwayne McDuffie, writer and producer on "The Justice League Unlimited."
