Cosmic Debris and Kellytoy USA announced a multi-year agreement to develop a range of Emily the Strange plush dolls and toys for kids, teens and cat lovers everywhere. The deal was brokered by memBrain Licensing.

The plush collection will be available throughout North America in select retailers later this year. The collection will support the release of the property’s first video game for the Nintendo DS platform, which hit stores this summer, and an upcoming feature film in development with Universal Pictures and Dark Horse Entertainment.

In addition, memBrain will announced a few “top secret” limited edition products at San Diego Comic-Con in July.

“Toys are a great way for our fans to welcome Emily, her cats, and her creations into their lives,” says Rob Reger, creative director and president of Cosmic Debris. “Emily is known for her attitude and independent spirit... so, although these Emily toys may be soft on the outside, her fans know they will be tough on the inside.”
