Products include new toys from Bandai, a video game from D3Publisher and apparel from Freeze, and are set to hit retail this fall, in conjunction with the launch of the new Ben 10 series, “Ben 10: Omniverse.”
Bandai, who has been with the brand since its inception in 2005, will continue as global master toy licensee, in a new three-year, worldwide deal renewal. The agreement includes rights for action figures, playsets, role play items and more.
“The launch of ‘Ben 10: Omniverse’ provides a great opportunity for the brand and our licensing program with an all-new look at Ben, new aliens and characters, and a return of the comedic elements that made the original ‘Ben 10’ series so successful,” says Pete Yoder, vice president of consumer products, North America, CNE. “We’re excited to renew our partnership with Bandai, whose unwavering support and enthusiasm for Ben 10 have been key to its success.”
Joining Bandai is interactive partner D3Publisher, who will release the “Ben 10: Omniverse” video game in time for the holidays. Ben 10: Omniverse-inspired youth apparel will also be available at all tiers of retail distribution this fall from new partner, Freeze.
Ben 10 is Cartoon Network’s most successful original global franchise and currently spans four animated series, one animated movie, two live-action movies and a CG-movie. A feature film is currently in development. The Ben 10 product line, originally launched in 2006, has generated more than $3 billion at retail worldwide to date.
