Global music merchandising company Bravado has appointed Deane Marcus to general manager for the U.S. He was formerly vice president of new ventures for the RCA/Jive Label Group at Sony Music Entertainment, responsible for launching and overseeing merchandising and more.
"It speaks volumes that in such challenging economic times for both the music and retail industries, Bravado has emerged as a jewel in Universal Music Group's portfolio of music labels and companies," says Marcus. "I'm very excited to join the company as they continue to redefine music merchandising and raise the bar for the rest of the industry."
Marcus has also previously served as senior vice president of operations for the Zomba Label Goup at Sony Music Entertainment and senior vice president of strategic planning and business development for Warner Music Group.
