There's no shortage of deals and property launches this week as Brand Licensing Europe opens its show floor for day two.

Day one saw announcements from Saban Brands, Nickelodeon Consumer Products and Zodiak Rights. In addition, attendees enjoyed presentations from In the Night Garden creator Andrew Davenport and retail research guru Delphine Cosserat from NPD, and the Licensing Academy hosted The Big Interview with the London 2012 Commercial Team.

Here are some more highlights from end of day yesterday:

  • Paramount Licensing has granted Ripple Junction the rights to Days of Thunder, Ferris Bueller's Day Off and The Naked Gun for T-shirts. Most of the designs, retailing from $17 to $20, will be available this fall at brick-and-mortar and online retailers.

  • Leonard Smith expanded its licensing program from greeting cards into new categories such as housewares, lifestyle and gifts.

  • Classic Media teamed with Tiger Aspect Productions to form the Tinga Tinga Tales Fund in support of children in Africa. The two companies have contributed a portion of their net profits from the Tinga Tinga Tales brand to the fund. Other key partners include Safaricom and Puffin.

  • Smith & Wesson, a U.S. handgun manufacturer, seeks partners in new product segments, including fashion, functional sports, food, energy drinks, safety, optics and transportation.

Brand Licensing Europe runs through tomorrow at Olympia's Grand Hall in London. Click here to learn more.
