The deal will extend the Mister Rogers Neighborhood brand throughout North America and the U.K. and include high end apparel and accessories.
Licensing agency Brand Central brokered the deal.
“Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood represents one of the most influential brands on television, and we are excited to expand the brand’s legacy and engage new markets through this licensing partnership with American Classics, who can develop a deep consumer reach through their strong retail relationships,” says William Isler, president, Fred Rogers Company.
“American Classics has prepared an innovative retail strategy that will extend the Fred Rogers Company into new channels,” says Ross Misher, chief executive officer, Brand Central. “We are thrilled to have set up such an effective partnership and look forward to future business together.”
