Royalty auditing business 360 Audit has signed on with the Liverpool Football Club to identify licensee underpayments, accurate payments and other auditing services across Liverpool FC’s portfolio.

“Liverpool is one of the greatest supported clubs in the world, with a huge international following,” says Henna Riaz, managing director, 360 Audit. “Auditing for the club is a major coup for 360 Audit. An increasing number licensors are reaping the rewards of regular licensee audits–they are essential for clubs the size of Liverpool FC and make a significant impact on club finances. We will be working on recovering as much money as possible whilst prioritizing making all licensing agreements both transparent and effective.”

According to the European Football Marketing Report issued by Sport + Market, Liverpool FC generated more revenue from merchandise sales than any other English club.

“I have already seen firsthand the commercial value of carrying out audits with the 360 Audit team,” says Ian Ayre, managing director, Liverpool FC. “We have more than 100 licensing partners and recognize the importance of ensuring agreements work successfully for all parties involved. 360 Audit’s involvement is already having a positive impact.”
