Universal Products & Experiences Names Jay Visconti SVP, Consumer Products EMEA

Universal Products and Experiences (UP&E) has announced the appointment of Jay Visconti as senior vice president, consumer products for the Europe, Middle East and Africa regions. Visconti joined Universal last month and reports directly into Rafa Macias, executive vice president, global commercial officer, UP&E. Visconti will be responsible for creating and executing long-term growth strategies across the region for both the direct markets and agent managed regions.

Visconti joins the business from his most recent role as general manager, chief strategy officer, Giochi Preziosi-Famosa Group (GPFG) toy company in Milan, Italy. There he was responsible for strategic planning and the daily operations of four business units and employees based across EMEA markets and regions.

Prior to his role at GPFG, Visconti spent more than twenty years at The Walt Disney Company in the U.K., Germany, and Italy and drove commercial business strategies across Europe throughout his long tenure there. As general manager and vice president, FMCG/consumables, EMEA, Visconti drove a high-performance culture based on consecutive business growth, strong revenue performance, and developed long-range strategic plans with both retailers and consumer products partners across the region.

Throughout his time at Disney, Visconti drove consistent consumer product market share and results in a broad variety of roles including integrated retail, media sales and promotions, as well as categories like toys and hardlines.
