Tulipop Studios has expanded its reach into new European markets with recent broadcast and licensing deals for its award-winning preschool series, “Tulipop Tales.” TF1 in France and RAI in Italy have acquired the series, adding to the show’s growing list of international broadcasters. RAI’s Italian partner, The Animation Band, facilitated the deal with RAI, marking global growth for the Icelandic production company known for its fantasy-driven storytelling.

RAI has acquired all 52 episodes of the series for its Rai Yoyo channel and Rai Play streaming platform, with plans to debut the series in Italy by the end of the year. Meanwhile, TF1 has secured the series for its TFou Max streaming service in France. NRK in Norway, an existing partner, has extended its commitment by acquiring 26 new episodes, bringing its total to 52 episodes aired.

These new partnerships add to a growing list of international broadcasters, including Síminn in Iceland, YLE in Finland, MBC in the Middle East, Canal+ in Poland, Tele-Québec in Canada and Showmax in South Africa. Earlier this year, Tulipop also announced three special episodes titled “Tulipop Seasons,” commissioned by RÚV in Iceland, NRK in Norway, SVT in Sweden, DR in Denmark and Svenska YLE in Finland. These specials are written by Emmy-winner, Robert Vargas, along with Deanna Oliver, Sherri Stoner and Sean Carson.

“It’s fantastic to have RAI and TF1 in our slate of broadcast partners with NRK acquiring even more Tulipop content following a strong audience response to the show,” says Helga Árnadóttir, chief executive officer, producer, Tulipop Studios. “Our goal has been to take a curated territory-by-territory approach to television sales and build an international licensing program for the brand; so it’s great to see MBC Licensing come on board to handle consumer products in their territory. We are looking forward to continuing to bring Tulipop’s modern day fairytales filled with catchy music and diverse characters to even more kids across the globe.”

In addition to its broadcast expansions, Tulipop Studios has completed a new deal with MBC Licensing in the Middle East, where “Tulipop Tales” premiered on MBC 3 in August. The company has also signed a global music publishing deal with Peer Music, making the first two albums of “Tulipop Tunes” available on major platforms.

With a strong Icelandic and international writing team, including head writers, Sara Daddy (“Claude,” “Puffin Rock”) and Emma Boucher (“Messy Goes to Okido,” “Go Jetters”), “Tulipop Tales” aims to teach young viewers about friendship, confidence and life lessons through engaging adventures. The series was developed with Dr. Natascha Crandall, an educational consultant specializing in children’s media.
