Studio 100 International has unveiled a new lineup of kids’ and family entertainment at MIPCOM in Cannes. The company has formed strategic partnerships with co-producers and studios to develop new animated TV series for global audiences.
A highlight of the new originals is “Jungle Book: Cub Club Adventures,” which is currently in early development with production partner, Gaumont Animation, and in collaboration with I Josh Around. Another co-production project with Gaumont and German production company, bigchild Entertainment, is “Ash,” a modern twist on the Cinderella story. This comedy adventure follows 13-year-old Ash, who discovers her magical powers and embarks on a quest to reunite her family and save the kingdom from dark magic.
In collaboration with Karrot Entertainment, Studio 100 International is also introducing “Sir Myka – The Podcraft Knight,” a fantastical adventure set in a world of animal knights and castles. The series follows young knight, Sir Myka, and his friends as they use innovative inventions to improve life in the kingdom by harnessing the powers of Pod Blokz, sustainable building blocks growing in the wild.
Studio 100 International is also co-developing “WE R SNKRZ” with Gigglebug Entertainment. This adventure comedy, set in a tech-driven future, follows three friends and their robot sidekick. With their love of sneakers, they show human creativity and innovation can triumph over automation.
“We are excited to share this diverse lineup of upcoming animated series at MIPCOM and MIPJunior,” says Dorian Buehr, head of global distribution, Studio 100 International. “From the magical empowerment of ‘Ash’ to the futuristic adventures of ‘WE R SNKRZ’ and the inventive spirit of ‘Sir Myka – The Podcraft Knight,’ we believe these shows will appeal to our clients and young audiences worldwide.”
