Beginning in September, Denmark public broadcaster TV 2 will premiere a new Sesame Street programming block, hosted by Elmo and his Danish friend.

The children's TV block (80x30), not yet named, will feature programs such as "Play with Me Sesame," "Elmo's World" and interstitials with Sesame character Abby Cadabby.

"No matter what part of the world you live in, learning about letters, numbers and even sharing is made easier when you do it with friends," says Terry Fitzpatrick, executive vice president of distribution for Sesame Workshop. "Sesame Workshop is pleased to have found a friend in TV 2 and we look forward to learning and sharing these important lessons with all the Danish children, Muppets and caregivers."

Sesame Workshop programming currently airs in more than 120 territories.
