Moonbug has announced it has partnered with leading global talent and entertainment company UTA for representation in North America.
UTA will oversee all signing and managing for the properties’ product licensees including toy companies, publishing, apparel, costumes and more.
“As we continue to expand our brands, we have remained focused on maintaining strategic partnerships to enhance our licensing,” says Andy Yeatman, head, Americas, Moonbug. “UTA’s vast experience and history in accelerating brands will be critical to that success and we are excited to sign with them.”
With this signing, UTA – which has been the licensing agency for Moonbug's recently acquired IP “Blippi” since 2018 – will represent domestic publishing and video game rights for “CoComelon,” and other Moonbug properties. IP in Moonbug’s portfolio includes “My Magic Pet Morphle,” “ARPO,” “Supa Strikas,” “T-Rex Ranch,” “The Sharksons,” “Gecko’s Garage,” “KiiYii” and “The Ring-A-Tangs.”
“We are thrilled to be working with Moonbug as their North American licensing agency,” says Sid Kaufman, licensing agent, UTA Ventures, a division of UTA. “Moonbug is one of the most prolific kids content companies in a rapidly changing marketplace. Together, our teams will focus on further growing the already successful ‘Blippi’ consumer products program and building best-in-class programs for ‘CoComelon,’ ‘My Magic Pet Morphle’ and more.”
Moonbug has partnerships with more than 100 streaming platforms worldwide, including Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV, Sky and Roku, and has category-leading viewership on YouTube and Amazon Prime Video. The Moonbug portfolio now includes 18 IPs, representing more than 550 hours of content in 26 languages.
