Brit Chicks Productions is launching a social experience and entertainment Web site for girls ages 7 to 12 in the U.K. in October at www.britchicks.com.

Offering a range of activities including some free play, the site will be fully moderated and will be funded through a monthly membership of £2.99 ($4.92) and micro purchases.

The concept for Brit Chicks has been developed by Brand Champions who have teamed up with Dubit to develop and market the site. 

"Virtual worlds have come of age and we're delighted to be working with Brand Champions on this project," says Ian Douthwaite, managing director of Dubit. "It's a great concept and we're really proud to be building a world we know girls are going to love, but that is also safe and appropriate."

A television advertising campaign, as well as online activity, PR, social media and peer-to-peer activity will support the launch of the site.
