Warner Bros. Entertainment under license from HBO has tapped Yoozoo Games, a Chinese game developer and publisher, to create an officially-licensed browser game inspired by its hit series “Game of Thrones.”

“Game of Thrones Winter is Coming” brings the scenery, character and topography of “Game of Thrones” the TV show to a new strategy and role-playing web game.

The in-game story begins after the death of Eddard Stark and invites players to participate as an ambitious Westeros lord who is on a mission to save a people plagued by war and to put a stop to the endless disputes between the Seven Kingdoms. Characters from the series will appear across Westeros, where users can recruit them onto their team.

In addition, users will have the chance to create houses, customize their castles, expand their territory, train an army and move through the history of Westeros as single players or in player vs. player battles.

“Game of Thrones Winter is Coming” is set to launch in spring 2019.

A pre-registration event for “Game of Thrones Winter is Coming” is now open that gives players a chance to access awards up until the game’s release.
