Netflix’s “Stranger Things” has signed a slew of licensing deals ahead of the launch of the series third season.

Coming out of E3, the content streaming company has announced its partnership with Next Games for a mobile location-based RPG based on the show. The free-to-play title will have gameplay reminiscent of “Pokémon GO” and will use Google Maps integration so players can explore The Upside Down hidden around them in their daily travels.

“Our core focus will be to deliver on ‘Stranger Things’ rich and intense themes like friendship and supernatural adventure and translate these into snack-sized entertainment on your mobile device, says Teemu Huuhtanen, chief executive officer, Next Games. “Combined with Netflix’s second-to-none ability to reach audiences across the globe, we will deploy all of our accumulated creative and technological expertise to create a game for the fans of the series all around the world.”

The mobile game will be joined by “Stranger Things” capsule collection with Nike, which will highlight the ‘80s nostalgia of the series by launching limited-edition sneakers and apparel. The line will include “Stranger Things”-branded versions of classic sneakers including Nike Air Force 1s, Nike Dunks, Nike Air Max 1s and Nike Tech Challenge IIs.

Rounded out the newly-announced partnerships is Burger King’s Upside Down Whopper. The fast food company honors the mysterious alternate universe from the show by flipping the sandwich upside down.

The new “Stranger Things” deals come on the heels of previous collaborations with Coca-Cola and H&M.
