Short-form episodic platform Quibi has garnered 1.7 million downloads in its first week, according to the company’s chief executive officer, Meg Whitman.

The number doesn’t indicate how many people signed up for the app, which includes a 90-day extended free trial. Once the trial ends, Quibi costs $5 with ads and $8 without.

Whitman noted 80 percent of people with a Quibi account watch the entirety of the first episode of a series. All episodes on Quibi run under ten minutes.
