“Esme and Roy,” the first new Sesame Workshop series in more than ten years, will debut in August in the U.S. and Canada. “Esme and Roy,” a joint venture from Sesame Workshop and Nelvana, follows a young girl named Esme and her best friend Roy on their adventures as monster babysitters in the town of Monsterdale. The new program is aimed at viewers ages 4 to 6 and will promote “learning through play” as well as mindfulness strategies. “From its early beginnings, the Nelvana team knew ‘Esme & Roy’ was destined to be an extraordinary commission.
