, MTV entered a deal with WebTVAsia for short-form video content for China’s Generation Z. As part of the deal, WebTVAsia will hold exclusive streaming rights to select short-form content, made in China, to be streamed on partner platforms in mainland China. The deal also includes some music-based programming.
The second deal will see thelaunch of a five-year Nickelodeon Chinese Animation Development Project, which, according to
, will “drive new animation coproductions in and with China.”

"We look forward to seeing the co-creation of new intellectual properties in and by China’s animation community in partnership with Viacom."
