PBS Kids’ “Mondays with Michelle Obama” streaming story-time program has announced new special guests for upcoming episodes.

New guests for the series include former President Barack Obama, who will be reading the children’s book “The Bear Ate Your Sandwich,” written and illustrated by Julia Sarcone-Roach. President Obama’s reading with the former First Lady is available now on PBS Kids

On May 25, Michelle Obama will be joined by the family dogs Sunny and Bo for a reading of “Can I Be Your Dog?,” written and illustrated by Troy Cummings. 

“Mondays with Michelle Obama” began on

April 20

to support the Penguin Random House literacy initiative, “Read Together, Be Together,” and PBS KIDS’ “Read-Along” effort. A suite of activities, tips, and resources for each of the books that Obama reads are also available at readtogetherbetogether.com, and companion literacy resources are available on pbskidsforparents.org.
