CrichtonSun has partnered with Range Media Partners to bring the late author’s classics into the new decade.

CrichtonSun, the publishing and production company of late author Michael Crichton, has teamed with Range Media Partners to create a slate of new content inspired by Crichton’s work.

The deal will see Range and CrichtonSun produce, package and develop a slate of projects inspired by The Andromeda Strain author. Crichton’s unpublished manuscripts are also available for TV and film projects as part of the agreement.

CrichtonSun is run by Sherri Crichton and her producing partner Laurent Bouzereau. Founded in 2014, the company aims to continue the late author’s legacy through various products including film, television and podcasts. CrichtonSun has also released previously unpublished manuscripts from the author such as Pirate Latitudes, Dragon Teeth and Micro.

“We’re thrilled to have found true creative partners at Range,” Sherri Crichton, president, CrichtonSun, told Deadline. “They share our passion of preserving the Crichton legacy and we look forward to tapping into their imaginative minds and exciting pool of talent to continue bringing Michael’s visions to life for audiences and readers around the world.”

Range is a recently launched management and brand development company led by former CAA, UTA and WME agents who have represented a diverse roster of talent.

Crichton is a prolific author who is known for various book genres that have transcended the publishing medium. One of his most successful titles is Jurassic Park, which went on to be adapted into a feature film and, later, a cinema franchise.
