As part of the deal, which is an expanded co-operation between the two companies, Viacom’s Nickelodeon will provide creative guidance and supervision over the series, which will ultimately air on Nickelodeon’s international networks outside of China. The deal also allows for further potential “Deer Run” licensing opportunities outside of China.

“Deer Run,” a 3D animated series aimed at the preschool market that follows the adventures of a group of deer, will debut in 2020.

“iQIYI is excited to be partnering again with VIMN for another season of ‘Deer Run,’” says Wang Xiaohui, chief content officer, iQIYI. “The show's engaging plot is both entertaining and educational, and we predict great things for this IP going forward. iQIYI is committed to producing outstanding original content, and we will continue to work with talented partners to bring the best content to our users.”
