Mondo TV has entered into a series of deals to expand the presence of its animated series “Robot Trains” in Spain and Portugal.

In Spain, Panini has signed on for a sticker album which due in January, with other titles to follow; Comansi, a 3D figure company, has paired for a figurine range which will roll out in Q2; and Gedis has paired for a Calamity Car and 3D versions of “Robot Trains” characters for the back to school season.

Currently, Bizak is distributing the toy range on behalf of Spanish master licensee Silverlit. Additional deals for apparel for apparel, board games, activity books, playing cards soap bubbles, wrapping paper and back to school categories are due soon, with outdoor toys and arts and crafts deals expected to follow later in the year.

In Portugal, Mondo has made deals with KStationery for back to school; Comans Concentra will distribute the toy range on behalf of master toy licensee Silverlit, with a rollout set for spring 2019.

“Robot Trains” follows a group of trains which can transform into robots.
