HBO has announced a new Max Original series hosted by YouTube influencer Lauren Riihimaki, better known as LaurDIY, called “Craftopia.”

The series sees kids compete in unique crafting challenges. Challenges for the first season include a puppet theater, a comfy doghouse and a custom lemonade stand. Each episode will feature a variety of contests for three crafty contestants, shopping sprees and prizes, including a $5,000 reward and golden Craft-Trophia award.

The series will make its streaming debut on HBO Max on May 27 as part of a slate of new Max Original shows.

LaurDIY has found digital success with her DIY crafting across fashion, lifestyle and fitness with more than nine million subscribers on her YouTube channel. In addition, the influencer also hosts a Facebook Watch series, “Served by LaurDIY,” offering short videos on easy-to-make snacks. In 2017, she also earned a Streamy Award in the Lifestyle category.

The Brand Liaison manages the LaurDIY licensing program. The agency has previously leveraged the brand for licensing partnerships with companies such as Jay Franco & Sons for a bedding and home goods line.
