Giffoni’s celebration will come across the four-part special edition of the film festival set to run through December. Things kicked off earlier this month with an opening night special Rainbow installation inauguration. The installation traces the milestones of the group since its beginnings in 1995, when the Iginio Straffi, president and chief executive officer, Rainbow, debuted the company. The installation includes unpublished images and drawings from the birth of the “Winx Club” all the way up to
“44 Cats.”
During Giffoni’s opening night, a video celebrating Rainbow was also presented and Claudio Gubitosi, founder and director, Giffoni Opportunity, honored the company with the Giffoni 50 Award. Giffoni’s celebration came as the film festival celebrates its 50th anniversary in its own right.

Along with the Giffoni celebration, Straffi also
at this last year’s MIPJunior. The award marks another milestone for Straffi, who was previously named in Variety's 500 most-influential business leaders in entertainment list.
