Genius Brands International is partnering with Spirit Halloween on a direct-to-retail program for its preschool brand “Rainbow Rangers,” based on the upcoming series that debuts fall 2018 on Nickelodeon’s Nick Jr.

Spirit Halloween has inked a deal for the North American licensing rights in the character costumes and accessories category. Spirit will design and manufacture a line of “Rainbow Rangers” character costumes and accessories that will be available in 1,300 retail locations beginning August 2019.

“Rainbow Rangers are the superheroes for the preschool set, and we are very happy to entrust our partners at Spirit Halloween with translating the imaginative and unique personalities of the Rainbow Rangers to costumes and accessories that will delight our young fans and engage them in inventive play,” says Lloyd Mintz, senior vice president, global licensing, Genius Brands. “We’re eager to see little Rainbow Rangers out saving and healing the planet in support of the brand.”

“Rainbow Rangers” already holds licensing partnerships with Bentex (master apparel), Global Brand Group (sleepwear and hosiery), Berkshire Fashions (cold weather accessories) and BioWorld (bags, backpacks), among others.

"Rainbow Rangers" is set to debut this fall on Nickelodeon’s Nick Jr.
