Futurum has announced a major distribution deal for “Paddles,” its CGI animated show for four-to-seven-year-olds.

Neon will distribute the 52 x 11 series in the market.

“The Korean market is one of the most important in Asia and it’s undoubtedly a coup for any European-made animated show to gain a major distribution deal in a market with such a high rate of high-quality home-grown production,” says Brendan Kelly, sales head, Futurum. “We’re thrilled to be working with Neon – an exceptionally well-regarded name – in Korea.”

“Paddles” will be broadcast on Cartoonito U.K. from the autumn of this year. More broadcast and distribution deals involving “Paddles” are to be announced in the coming weeks.

A licensing program for “Paddles” is also already underway with the first licensees due to be announced soon.
