According to

Screen Rant

, the contract between Netflix and Marvel for the movie and televsion rights to the character of “Daredevil” are set to return to Marvel following two years post-cancellation.

With Netflix having cancelled “Daredevil” after three series in November 2018, the window for the reported moratorium will lapse in six months and bring the the character back to Marvel and Disney.

Netflix also cancelled Marvel TV series “The Punisher”, “Jessica Jones”, “Luke Cage” and “Iron Fist” in 2018 and 2019, which could potentially bring the characters back to Marvel in the coming months.

While there is no clear intention on bringing the characters back to Disney+, the previous take on each character’s screen debut brings an opportunity to revive that fandom and bring more “Defenders” content to the screens; big or small.
