The co-branded train operates on the North East Line of Singapore’s local transit system. It will travel to all 16 of the line’s stations, from HarbourFront to Punggol. More than 1.5 million commuters are expected to see the ad during their daily travels.
The train will have six cars, each with characters from Cartoon Network properties including “We Bare Bears,” “Ben 10,” “The Powerpuff Girls” and “Adventure Time.” Each train car also features marketing messages for the Cartoon Network channel and Timezone arcades.
“This very special train is sure to put a smile on every commuter’s face,” says Vikram Sharma, vice president, Cartoon Network Enterprises Asia Pacific. “Cartoon Network and Timezone make a great partnership. We both share a similar audience and the same motivation to ‘up the fun’ for kids, young adults and families in Singapore.”
The deal with the MRT continueson a recent push for licensing opportunities from city transit organizations. Transport for London, for example, recently inked a deal for representation from the TSBA Group
