Brandgenuity Adds Licensees for 'Carmen Sandiego'

Brandgenuity has announced that it has partnered with Goliath Games, Basic Fun and Spirit Halloween for Houghton Mifflin Harcourt’s “Carmen Sandiego” brand, which launched on Netflix in January.

as well as its Spanish-language edition, an audible audiobook and a “Carmen” classroom educational program.

Goliath Games will develop a board game for the brand, and Basic Fun will launch a handheld “Carmen Sandiego” game that is based on the gadget seen in the series. Both games will launch in fall 2019, as well as “Carmen Sandiego”-branded Halloween costumes and accessories by Spirit Halloween.

The Netflix series stars Gina Rodriguez (“Jane the Virgin”) as the voice of Carmen Sandiego and Finn Wolfhard (“Stranger Things”) as her sidekick Player.

Brandgenuity plans to expand the “Carmen” licensing program with toys, games, apparel, accessories, back-to-school, social expression and more.
