BBC Studios Unleashes ‘His Dark Materials’ Merch

As season two of “His Dark Materials” debuts, new merchandise is hitting a new branded online store for the series.

BBC Studios licensing program for “His Dark Materials” has gathered momentum with the launch of a dedicated global online store.

The store arrives following the successful debut of season two of the series on BBC and HBO. Fans across the globe can now peruse a dedicated “His Dark Materials” e-shop, hosted by licensee Push Entertainment, for bespoke gifting, apparel and accessories inspired by the adaptation of Philip Pullman’s series of novels.

“We are delighted to provide a one-stop-shop for the ‘His Dark Materials’ brand and are proud to be launching it with an enviable range of designs, which are inspired by and pay homage to this fan favorite,” says Ian Shurmer, co-founder, Push Entertainment.

The first wave of merchandise available on will be a selection of “His Dark Materials” t-shirts. A greater variety of product will follow in the coming months including caps, mugs, notebooks, bags, hoodies and sweatshirts.

Further licensed product for “His Dark Materials” is coming down the track too. The next wave will feature apparel by BBC Studio’s global partner Titan and “His Dark Materials” season two on DVD, which will be released by BBC Studios in the U.K. on Dec., 28.

“We are thrilled to start unveiling dedicated ‘His Dark Materials’ merchandise to the brand’s loyal fans,” says Rikesh Desai, merchandise and gaming director, BBC Studios. “The new online shop and subsequent product roll-outs will give them a unique opportunity to own a piece of the show they love and celebrate their favorite characters.”

“His Dark Materials” is based on the trilogy of fantasy novels published between 1995 and 2000. The novels have been a global success, selling almost 17.5 million copies globally in more than 40 languages.
