BBC Studios has chosen PPW Sports and Entertainment to represent children’s TV series “Hey Duggee.”

The agreement will see PPW act as the agent and licensee for “Hey Duggee” for Greater China –including mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.

PPW is expected to represent series across many verticals including merchandise, family entertainment centers, live events, stage shows, digital, gaming, publishing, audio and English language learning.

“Since its launch in China two years ago, ‘Hey Duggee’ has become a huge hit with Chinese audiences on digital platforms,” says Tim Davie, chief executive, BBC Studios. “Its first year alone saw close to two billion views on SVOD and it continues to capture the imagination of children across the country. This deal with PPW will bring the show’s much-loved characters even closer to its fans in the region.”

The representation deal was announced at the 10th China-U.K. Economic and Financial Dialogue, co-chaired by Chinese Vice Premier Hu Chunhua and the U.K’s Chancellor of the Exchequer Philip Hammond.

BBC’s partnership follows on the recent news of a “Hello Duggee” partnership with TDP Textiles for a bedding line.
