Malaysian animation studio Animasia Studio has entered into a series of deals for its property “Chuck Chicken.” New partners include Koala Pop for popcorn in Australia, available now; and IndeCo Group for a branded version of its “Easy Website in a Box” app, set to be released in November. “Easy Website in a Box and Koala Pop Korn are pleased to be collaborative strategic partners with Animasia Studio and the Chuck Chicken brand,” says Nick Thompson, managing director, IndieCo Group. “The strength of the Chuck Chicken brand in Malaysia and other South East Asian Countries has provided the perfect partnership to both Easy Website in a Box and Koala Pop Korn. Bringing Chuck Chicken and Easy Website in a Box makes perfect sense as both brands are passionate about providing youth and kids with the educational tools in a fun, creative way to use edutainment that engages their skill and development. Including Koala Pop Korn into this strengthens this dynamic by bringing healthy eating into schools and everyday life for kids in Australia. Chuck Chicken is the perfect ambassador to strengthen Malaysian and Australian opportunities for Animasia Studio, Easy Website in a Box and Koala Pop Korn.” Additional partners include KidzWorld of Spain to manufacture sugar confectionaries including candies, lollipops, biscuits, cookies, and more in Europe, the Middle East, South America and Asia (excluding China.) The two-year deal will become effective Jan. 1, with product expected to roll out in March. Foodie4U has signed on to create snack foods including biscuits and crackers featuring “Chuck Chicken” and “Chuck Chicken Power Up” characters in Malaysia. Products are set to be released in early 2019, with a possibility of extension in other South East Asian countries. Finally, Multi Capital Network, an MCM studio theme park consultant, has come on board to develop an indoor attraction featuring “Chuck Chicken” and “Harry & Bunnie” at a soon-to-be-opened Capital 21 Entertainment mall in Johor, Malaysia. Each series will have its own distinct attraction. The mall is set to open in September.
