NFLPA Makes a Play for Digital Deals

The deals see a number of early-stage companies integrate NFL players into technology including active gaming, AI, crypto-collectibles and more.

Play Impossible is on board for the Play Impossible Gameball, a game that will recreate NFL stars as avatars and player-themed leaderboards. Select players will also serve as brand ambassadors.

Octi, an AI augment video company, is offering a mobile app that invites users to change themselves using human-body-recognition technology. Videos can be created that allow users to interact with more than 2,000 NFL player avatars.

Live streaming platform SportsCastr allows users to chime in as a color commentator.

Cryptocurrency platform FanChain will let users earn tokens to unlock player content, send virtual gifts to favorite players and more. Active and retired players are invited to provide live commentary on professional and collegiate sports.

Social fitness app Fan Health Network will allow fans to connect with professional athletes, celebrities and

sports personalities to promote diet, fitness and wellness.

Within the app, players will act as team captains and challenge users, as well as pull for community support.

Finally, Hashletes, a consumer-facing application, will use NFL player IP in blockchain collectibles and fantasy sports competitions. Users can buy and trade collectibles online and compete with others to win prizes.
