The National Basketball Association has announced two new partnerships–the first with RareInk for a collection of limited-edition artwork and the second with PersonalizationMall.com for a line of customizable greetings products.

The NBA collection of original art available on RareInk.com includes 100 pieces featuring artistic interpretations of 40 NBA players and 60 team logos.

The collection encompasses various styles of art including ultra-realism, street art, minimalism and screen print-style rock poster art.

Highlights include a Jerry West-Magic Johnson-Kobe Bryant triptych; ’90s-era icons such as the Warriors trio Run TMC, the SuperSonics duo of Gary Payton and Shawn Kemp, and the Jazz duo of John Stockton and Karl Malone; several Michael Jordan pieces; and items highlighting current NBA All-Stars including Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade.

Each piece is produced using museum-quality archival materials and is offered on either fine art paper or stretched canvase with release numbers ranging from 100 to 250.

Fans will also be able to cast their vote on RareInk.com to determine future releases.

“The goal of RareInk’s artwork is to capture the excitement and action of the NBA in a uniquely artistic way,” says Tim Muret, chief executive officer, RareInk. “Fans can shape the future of the RareInk collection by voting for their favorite players and moments to be featured as art pieces.”

In a second online partnership, the NBA has teamed up with PersonalizationMall.com for a line of custom-made gifts featuring league logos.

Products range from water bottles to apparel to frames and plaques that can be personalized and embellished with NBA or team logos.

“This partnership with PersonalizationMall.com adds a new dimension to our current product offerings and gives our fans the chance to show their support with personal flair,” says Lisa Goldberg, vice president of licensing, NBA.
