Car racing brand marks return of holiday tradition with a "throwback" theme.
From 1950-2003, the Southern 500 was held on Labor Day weekend, but from 2004-2014, the race was held at an earlier date due to changes in the NASCAR schedule.
Sunday’s event marked a return to tradition, and, in celebration, Nascar hosted a throwback race weekend.
Nearly 30 of the race cars on the track paid homage to the sport’s history with vintage paint schemes and themed souvenirs, food and entertainment.
The Fanatics NASCAR Trackside Superstore featured a range of vintage-inspired products including a refreshed NASCAR Classics line. The NASCAR Classics line includes hats, tees, diecasts and hard goods highlighting tracks like Darlington Raceway and racing legends like David Pearson and Bill Elliott. Many of the retro products are also available on the NASCAR e-store.
