Licensing agent on board to expand the football club in Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

The Juventus Football Club has appointed IMG to represent its brand across a number of Asian territories, Australia and New Zealand.

IMG will now represent the Turin, Italy-based team in Japan, China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwain, in addition to Australia and New Zealand, across a range of categories including apparel, accessories, automotive, stationery, toys and food and beverages.

“Juventus is one of the biggest names in world of football, with the club’s signature black and white stripes instantly recognizable to fans across the globe,” says Marcelo Cordeiro, licensing director, IMG. “We are delighted to be working with them on developing their licensing program in these regions and building on the success of their record-equaling season.”

The multi-year deal comes after Juventus was crowned the Series A champions for the fifth consecutive year last season.

“We are always looking at new ways of reaching our global fan base and this agreement with IMG will help us to do this in these territories,” says Luca Montesion, licensing executive, Juventus. “We will work closely with them on developing an extensive range of consumer-friendly products that will resonate widely with our passionate and loyal supporters.”
